Gary is an experienced town planner who can guide you through the planning process and help you achieve your objectives. His expertise is in advising and securing planning permission for land promoters and house builders for large and small scale residential schemes. He also acts for private individuals and landowners on a wide range of planning matters across the West and East Midlands.
He has represented local authorities and clients at numerous Examinations in Public, Local Inquiries and Appeal Inquiries, acting as an expert witness in each case.
What’s Gary’s background?
Gary has over 20 years’ experience in town planning and development. Prior to joining Marrons Planning in 2013, Gary gained a wide range of experience of Town and Country Planning matters whilst working in Local Government in Gloucestershire, Cambridgeshire and Warwickshire, including at a senior level as a Development Manager and Planning Policy Manager from 2008 to 2013, with additional experience within the private sector for a town planning consultancy in the Midlands from 2005 to 2008.
He gained an honours degree in Countryside Planning in 1995 from the University of Gloucestershire. He was awarded an MA in Town and Country Planning in 1997, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Urban Design in 2003 both from the University of the West of England (Bristol). Gary qualified as a Chartered Town Planner in 1999.
