Design and Access and Heritage Statements

If you are proposing to carry out development that requires planning permission or listed building consent you may be required to provide a Design and Access Statement with your application.  This statement must justify the design of your proposed development having regard to its surroundings.

We can advise you on whether you need to prepare a Design and Access Statement and, for certain developments, we can prepare this statement for you.

If you are proposing to carry out development that may affect a heritage asset, such as a Listed Building or Conservation Area, you will be required to provide a Heritage Assessment with your application.  This assessment must describe the significance of the heritage asset and assess the potential impact of your proposed development.

Please get in touch to see if we can prepare a Heritage Statement for your development.
